A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they reduce sweat. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in fake leather. Also, they’re already softened so your feet just adjust easily.
Do they hold up well?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the shine on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you recommend them?
Totally! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They cost a lot, so getting them discounted is a better idea. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you find a style that suits you. Mine have pink glitter, but a minimalist version would also be smart.

How does the sizing run?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36. Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.
Are they comfortable?
They felt good right away. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since my feet get sweaty. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in fake leather. Bonus, they’re already softened so your feet just slide in.
How durable are they?
